Bethesda • Kitchen Renovation + 2-Story Porch Addition
This project began with our clients’ love of entertaining and a 1500-pound, wood-burning pizza oven, which heats to more than 800 degrees. Our challenge was to address the oven’s structural loads and ventilation requirements without sacrificing aesthetics or function. We redesigned the kitchen floorplan to provide better circulation between the adjoining rooms and built an adjacent 2-story screened porch addition. French doors framed the porch opening and connected the outdoor space with this distinctive kitchen, a perfect place to welcome friends and family.
