Glen Echo Heights • Whole House Renovation
Our clients envisioned a complete transformation of their 1970s Colonial house into a contemporary family home. Inspired by their aspirations, we opened up the first floor and built a 2-story addition comprised of a primary bedroom to age in place and his and her offices below, each with separate outdoor access. We altered the exterior by enclosing the carport, removing the decorative balconies, and replacing elements of the wood façade with Corten steel, a living finish that will oxidize over time into a graceful patina.
